PMA Looking for Brands and Agencies
Two years ago, the PMA Measurements and Insights Council released one of its most downloaded reports, the 2024 U.S. Brand Survey. (Click here to download for free) Featuring responses from over 300 brands, the study became a benchmark for many brands and agencies going forward.
Some of the key takeaways from that study included:
- The vast majority of brands operate affiliate programs on a single network or platform, regardless of the number of approved or active publishers.
- The majority of affiliate programs have 100 sale active publishers or less in the last 12 months, with almost half responding 50 or less.
- Mature programs have not only significantly more affiliates but also more click and sale active affiliates than newer programs.
Given the success of the last study plus significant changes in the industry, the Council is now launching a new survey with similar questions but added emphasis on AI and attribution.
We are really keen to learn things like:
- Whether 88% of brands still work with toolbar/software publishers
- Whether 96% of brands still allow subnetworks in their programs
- What system is the primary source of truth for most programs
- How brands are measuring and rewarding publisher influence over AI-generated results
The Council is asking that any interested brands or agencies that represent them fill out a survey based on U.S. data for the last 12 months. While only 8 questions are required, there are options to provide additional information that the Council will use as well.
You do not need to be a member of the PMA to participate.
Agencies have the option to submit a form for a single brand or download a template to include multiple brands in one submission.
The survey will close May 31, 2026. However, the sooner the results start coming in, the better we will know how to proceed with the results based on the volume of submissions that we are receiving.
Submissions are anonymous and no individual data will be shared with the Council or in the results. However, any submission that includes an email address will receive an early sneak peek of the results.
