Free PMA Webinar: FTC Disclosure Updates for Affiliate and Influencer Marketing

Everyone knows that the FTC Endorsement Guides are a subject near and dear to my heart. As a lawyer-turned-affiliate marketer, they stand at the intersection of my two careers. It turns out, I’m not the only one who loves to study and discuss them–especially when they are totally updated!

With the recent announcement of the updated “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising” as well as the “FTC’s Endorsement Guides: What People Are Asking” document, there has been a LOT about their huge impact on affiliate marketing.

Did the law change? No. But did the FTC better clarify how the law relates to affiliate and influencer marketing? Absolutely.

Join me and panel of PMA members for a free LinkedIn Live webinar where we will discuss the newest updates to the Guides and take your questions about how they could impact your business.

Some of the items we will discuss include:

  • Who is liable if an affiliate or influencer doesn’t disclose?
  • Who should be monitoring whether disclosure is sufficient?
  • Can you be an “affiliate” and an “expert” for purposes of the Guides?
  • What are the big new changes with regard to review sites?
  • And many more!

I’d like to thank my fellow panelists for helping me pull this together on such short notice!

  • Teresa Grammatke, eAccountable
  • Jeannine Crooks, Awin US
  • Tye DeGrange, Round Barn Labs
  • Jessica Bishop, The Budget Savvy Bride
