New PMA Download: Retailer Affiliate Agreements Guide
Over a decade ago, the PMA created its first checklist for retailers drafting affiliate agreements. Over time as performance marketing has evolved, we have updated that document to better reflect various publisher types, tracking technologies, and industry standards.
Our latest revision contains 11 pages of considerations, best practices, and perspectives about what a brand might want to include in its affiliate terms. Not everything will apply to every brand, but each section is worth considering. Since our last update 9 years ago, we have added sections on influencers, subnetworks, AI, and more. This document is perfect for brands, retailers, merchants, agencies, and anyone creating agreements with publishers of any type.
Sections to consider include:
- Paid search and display advertising
- Software and toolbar advertising restrictions
- Social media advertising
- Represented use of trademarks and brand names
- Allowed, prohibited, and restricted publisher types
- Influencers and creators
- Subnetworks
- Order reversals and backorders
- Promo code distribution
- Program terms violations
- AI usage and content integrity guidelines
- and more!
Thanks for this much-needed update goes to the members of the Retailer and Merchant Council (chaired by Wade Tonkin, Fanatics). You can download for free by clicking “Add to Cart” below.
