PMA 2018 Board of Directors Election Process

The self-nomination period for the PMA 2018 Board of Directors will open October 2, 2017.  Nominations will close on October 31, at the end of the business day.

The voting period will open November 16, 2017. All Corporate, Retailer, and Industry Champion members in good standing are eligible to run and vote in the new board. Four (4) board seats are open and available to fill.

The PMA holds the integrity of your vote in the highest regard. The vote will be administered by Executive Director Tricia Meyer, and the final vote will be certified by both Board President Rachel Honoway and Board Secretary Maryellen Garasky. Board Makeup

The PMA Board is made up of 9-13 members. Under our October 1, 2017, bylaw change, these members can consist in any proportion of Corporate, Retailer, and Industry Champion members.

For this election for the 2018 board, four (4) board seats will be available to fill.

These new board members will join the following seated board members who will serve their second year of the 2-year term:

  • Rachel Honoway
  • Tara McCommons
  • Tom Rathbone
  • Joe Sousa
  • Kerri Pollard

Dates

October 2 – October 31, 2017
November 2, 2017
  • Nominees announced, and voting opens.
  • List of Nominees and their campaign statements (made available once nomination submissions have been received)
November 2 – November 30, 2017 (11:59pm PST)
  • Member voting period
  • In order to vote, members must be paid in full by noon PST November 30, 2017
December 4, 2017
  • Following the certification of results, the PMA Governance Committee will announce the new 2018 PMA Board of Directors
  • Exception: if there is a tie, a run-off will be held and dates adjusted accordingly.

Important Dates

October 2 through October 31, any Industry Champion, Retailer, or Corporate Member may nominate themselves for a seat on the 2018 Board of Directors.
