Industry Champion PartnerCentric Acquired by CEO Stephanie Harris

Industry Champion PartnerCentric Acquired by CEO Stephanie Harris

It was announced this week that PMA Industry Champion and Outsourced Program Management agency Schaaf-PartnerCentric was acquired by its CEO, Stephanie Harris. Brook and Forrest Schaaf have long been huge personal supporters of the PMA, and the company they started has helped us grow since our early days.

Personally, I have known Stephanie the 13+ years that she has been in the affiliate marketing industry, and it is exciting to see her take on the role of Owner at the newly-renamed ParterCentric. Although you can learn more about the acquisition in the press release, I spent a few minutes asking her some questions about our industry and the PMA specifically.

1) Why is it important to you that PartnerCentric be involved with the PMA?

As one of the largest and most reputable OPM agencies in the space, we wholeheartedly support the mission and objectives of the PMA. We were founding members of the organization (and our preceding owner, Brook Schaaf, was a President of the PMA), so PartnerCentric has a strong and deep-rooted legacy with the PMA. As experienced professionals in the space, it is crucial to lend involvement and support toward the growth of our industry champion. It binds us as a community together in common causes, challenges, and opportunities and makes us all stronger for it. All of the companies and individuals involved in the PMA are folks I would proudly stand next to.

2) What role do you believe the PMA serves in our industry?

The PMA really came of age in a time when our industry desperately needed a single and organized voice. With the advent of the “nexus” legislation particularly, the PMA has been a wonderful advocate for our interests and has done so much to protect and further the small businesses such as affiliate sites that depend upon this industry. The PMA has also been an invaluable resource for our clients and partners looking for the latest news, job postings, white papers, best practices, and so on. The PMA is that trusted, independent organization run by industry vets volunteering their time to further our common goals and act as a champion for the good work that our space does.

3) What are some ways that you think people can make positive contributions to the industry?

Our industry is ever-changing, and with this dynamic nature, comes a real need for thought leadership and sharing of best practices. We are evolving and we are developing new techniques, tools, and perspectives all the time, and we have a responsibility to share this with other practitioners in the industry so we can all benefit. A rising tide lifts all ships, and the reputation of our space is integral to this rising tide. We can do our part in being a positive voice for performance marketing by sharing success stories, case studies, unbiased reports, and being common watchdogs for any malfeasance. We should always be wearing the white hat!

Congratulations to Stephanie and the entire PartnerCentric team!
